Colonel Christian D. Kane is Commander of the 325th Operations Group, 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. The 325th Operations Group is comprised of two fighter squadrons, a fighter training squadron, a training support squadron and an operations support squadron. The group trains and projects unrivaled fifth generation combat airpower.  Colonel Kane is also the principal advisor to the 325th Fighter Wing commander on training and operational issues.

Colonel Kane is a 1995 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He completed pilot training at Vance AFB and F-15C training at Tyndall AFB, where he was the Distinguished Graduate for his class.  Following his first operational assignment in the F-15C at Eglin AFB, he served as an Air Liaison Officer for the 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Red Cloud, Korea.  Colonel Kane returned to flying the F-15C and graduated from the United States Air Force Weapons School in 2004.  He served as the 2nd Fighter Squadron’s weapons officer and as the F-15C Division Commander for the 422d Test and Evaluation Squadron at Nellis AFB, Nevada.  Colonel Kane graduated from the United States Naval Postgraduate School in 2009 with distinction for an outstanding thesis and a Master of Arts in Homeland Defense and Security.  He transitioned to the F-22 in 2010 and served as Director of Operations for the 8th Fighter Squadron at Holloman AFB, New Mexico.  After moving to Tyndall AFB, Colonel Kane served as Director of Operations and Squadron Commander for the 83d Fighter Weapons Squadron, as well as Deputy Commander for the 53d Weapons Evaluation Group.  He completed his Senior Development Education as a National Defense Fellow at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Colonel Kane is a command pilot with more than 2,000 flight hours, primarily in the F-15C and F-22A.  He is a veteran of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, and NOBLE EAGLE.
