Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) Environmental Commitment Statement
1. Team Tyndall is fully committed to minimizing the impacts of our operations on the environment and maintaining our excellent reputation for environmental stewardship. Our goal is to sustain mission capability while integrating sound environmental practices throughout Team
Tyndall's operations. To meet this environmental commitment, all base personnel, including active duty, civilians, contractors, tenants, and visitors, must follow our Environmental
Commitment Statement as described below.
2. Tyndall's environmental commitment statement can be described with the acronym PRIDE:
a. Promote Environmental Management System (EMS) awareness through training
b. Recycle, prevent pollution, and conserve natural resources
c. Identify areas for continuous improvement
d. Develop open communication with the local community
e. Ensure compliance with all environmental laws and regulations
3. Protecting the environment at Tyndall AFB is everyone's job regardless of position, rank, salary or experience. Team Tyndall's Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Council is dedicated to providing leadership required to achieve the principles of this statement.
Together we can execute our mission successfully while minimizing the effects of our operations on the environment. Tynda!Ps EMS is in accordance with Air Force Instruction 32-7001,
Environmental Management.
