"Gulf Coast Salute to America's Heroes"
Tyndall will host a one-day Air Show and Open House featuring the Navy Blue Angels Saturday, March 24.
Admission and parking are free.
This year's theme, "Salute to America's Heroes," will honor local veterans and servicemembers currently serving in military operations at home and abroad.
Skies over Tyndall will be the stage for military and civilian demonstration and aerobatic teams. American "war bird" aircraft dating back to World War II will honor military aviation heritage by performing formation flyovers.
The show will also feature a tremendous array of Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps aviation and equipment static displays and exhibits.
As the ultimate family event this spring, the "2007 Gulf Coast Salute to America's Heroes" will feature vendors, ground displays and a "Kiddie Hangar" full of activities and displays for children.
Performers will include the Black Daggers, Flash Fire Jet Truck, Patty Wagstaff and many more.
Security will be emphasized: no pets, weapons, glass bottles or containers will be allowed. Small coolers and small backpacks will be permitted, but are subject to search.
