The Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., installation flag billows in the wind prior to Tyndall’s 30th Annual POW/MIA 24 hour Vigil Run in Flag Park on Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., Oct. 3, 2018. In 1989, retired Lt. Col. Allen Bazzel, 81st Range Control Squadron commander and Capt. Daniel Williams, planted the seed for an event to locally honor and keep the memory alive of all POW/MIA. The event comprised of a 24-hour vigil run on the Tyndall flight line. The tradition has been carried on over the past 30 years. (U.S. Air Force photo illustration by Airman 1st Class Solomon Cook)
