Team Tyndall Celebrates Air Force 70th birthday

Team Tyndall celebrated the Air Force’s 70th birthday Sept. 16, 2017. The Air Force was designated its own military branch Sept. 18, 1947 after separating from the U.S. Army Air Corp. Since its inception, the Air Force has been “Breaking Barriers.” From breaking the sound barrier, space barrier, the gender and color barrier; courageous Airmen have refined the Air Force mission to Fly Fight and Win through their blood and sacrifice to ensure the unique contributions of air power will endure long into the future. As a service with joint origins, the Air Force is the foundation for Total Force interagency and coalition operations.
