Remembering MWD Jack
An ornate vessel containing the remains of Jack, a 325th Security Forces Squadron military working dog (MWD), positioned alongside his favorite toy sit on display during a remembrance ceremony at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., Sept. 7, 2018. In war-fighting roles, MWDs provide enhanced patrol and detection capability to perimeter and point defense. In bare base operations, MWDs serve as an early warning system.
