Tyndall announcements are a great opportunity to let the base community know of upcoming events, happenings and other important information on base. Announcements are updated daily Monday-Friday.
If your organization has information it would like posted, send an email to: editor@tyndall.af.mil. All submissions received before noon will be posted that day. If you have any questions, please contact the 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office at (850) 283-4500. 

Combat Arms Classroom Move
The Combat Arms Training and Marksmanship classroom has been moved to Building 1270, Class Room 109 while the existing facility is renovated through mid-November. The new classroom is located in the 325th Air Control Squadron building adjacent to the Lemon Lot.

All students are asked to park on the northwest side of the building. For more information, contact the CATM staff at (850) 283-3392 or 4021.

GCCC Military Scholarship
Students with GPA of 3.0 or higher and taking 5+ credit hours are eligible to receive the Golf Coast Community College Military Scholarship. Scholarship applications can be picked up and returned to room 45-A of the Education Center.  The application deadline is Aug.1, 2009.  For more information call Candy Ash at 283-4332.

Illinois Gate Construction
Due to construction beginning March 30, the inbound lane into the Illinois Gate will be closed and drivers will be directed to the Louisiana Gate for the next eight weeks. Only outbound traffic will be permitted through Illinois gate during the construction. Drivers are encouraged to use the Sabre Gate to alleviate excessive congestion. Yoga Classes
Meditate to get in shape.  Yoga classes are being held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Community Activity Center.  Cost is $3 per class or $20 per month.  For more information, call 283-2495.

Basic poses that provide a solid workout for your body and mind.  Free yoga classes are held at noon in the Cardio Center, Bldg. 912.  For more information, contact the Fitness Center 283-2631.

Wireless internet connection at the Education Center
Free wireless internet access is now provided by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Tyndall campus and is available at the Education Center building. Patrons are able to access the various school sites, to include online classrooms, library services and data bases available through the school. No fee or password is required, but individuals utilizing the WiFi are required to accept the terms of use. For more information, call 283-4557.

The Crossroads/GI Mail Contract Has Been Extended
The Air Force Crossroads contract, the longest-running web site supporting military members and their families and operates GI Mail e-mail accounts, has been extended. There will be no interruption in service. 

Selective Reenlistment Bonus Changes
The previous Selective Reenlistment Bonus cap per zone increased from $60,000 to $90,000. To determine eligibility to reenlist with an SRB enlistment, contact the Career Development at 283-2038.

Thrift Store Hours
The Tyndall Thrift Shop is open 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and the first Saturday of every month unless it is a holiday weekend. Consignments are taken 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. For more information, call 286-5888.

Free Carpooling Service
