The official hurricane season for the Tyndall area begins June 1 and runs through Nov. 30 each year.
However, tropical storms and seasonal depressions can quickly escalate into categorical hurricanes at any time, making hurricane readiness and disaster preparedness critical for all Tyndall personnel and their families.
All Tyndall personnel are encouraged to have hurricane kits and evacuation plans prepared and ready.
