The official hurricane season for the Tyndall area begins June 1 and runs through Nov. 30 each year.

However, tropical storms and seasonal depressions can quickly escalate into categorical hurricanes at any time, making hurricane readiness and disaster preparedness critical for all Tyndall personnel and their families.

All Tyndall personnel are encouraged to have hurricane kits and evacuation plans prepared and ready.

Refer to the annual Hurricane Supplement for information and instructions specific to Tyndall residents and personnel.

For information on hurricane readiness and current weather conditions, visit the National Hurricane Center or the National Weather Service Web sites.
