8/27/2012 - TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla.  -- Airman 1st Class Elizabeth Evans, 325th Force Support Squadron customer service apprentice, is the winner of the 2012 U.S. Air Force Ball Design Contest.

Her design embellishes the theme of this year's Ball which celebrates Air Force heritage and future. It will be applied to glasses and napkins to be used during the event.

"I used planes to symbolize Tyndall and the Air Force logo to naturally represent the Air Force and the pride and honor of what it means to be a part of it," said Airman Evans. "To represent heritage, I knew that I wanted to use a quote because I personally like proverbs and wise words."

She used the quote, "May the dreams of your past become the reality of your future."

The 65th Annual Air Force Ball is scheduled for Sept. 15, at the Edgewater Beach Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla.

The Ball, which is open to service members, retirees, and their guests, is scheduled to begin with social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

For more information about attending, contact Capt. Steven Vega at (850) 283-8574 or Master Sgt. Raymond Delgado at (850) 283-4405.
