Golf Tournament to raise funds for CFC

10/29/2012 - TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Tyndall will host the 2012 Combined Federal Campaign Golf Tournament at 8 a.m. Nov. 2 at the Pelican Point Golf Course.
Teams will consist of four people and should be registered by Oct. 31. The sign-up fee will be $50 and will include lunch and green fees.
All profits from the event will go to the CFC. There will also be prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin.
"The main goal of Tyndall's CFC is to contact 100 percent of the federal employees and provide them with the opportunity to make a donation," said 2nd Lt. Preston Smith, 325th Maintenance Squadron assistant munitions flight commander and CFC installation project officer. "Right now we are in the middle of the third week of the campaign and the base is at 78 percent contacted and we have raised approximately $54,771.
"Donating through CFC is a great idea because it allows you to choose from thousands of local, national and international charities," the lieutenant continued. "Many of us have been impacted by charitable organizations and CFC allows us to give back. Giving through payroll deduction also makes donating easy and convenient by spreading your donation installments across the entire year."

For those who do not wish to participate in the golf tournament, but would like to make donations towards the CFC, please contact your unit point of contact.
