TRICARE Young Adult is here

Effective April 27, 2011, young adults may enroll in the TRICARE Young Adult Program. We created and posted FAQs to the TRICARE FAQ site (www.tricare.mil/faqs). The FAQs and the TRICARE Young Adult Flyer are available in the Source Documents tab of the Customer Service Community Web site: http://www.tricare.mil/customerservicecommunity/source.aspx.
The TRICARE Young Adult Fact Sheet will be posted later this afternoon. You may now share all materials with our beneficiaries and refer them to www.tricare.mil/tya.
The TRICARE Young Adult application is posted at www.tricare.mil/tya and will also be available through the Beneficiary Web Enrollment. Beneficiaries, who would like a May 1, 2011 effective date, must have their application into their regional contractor (stateside/overseas) by May 31, 2011.
Remind beneficiaries that if they purchase retroactive coverage, they must include the past premiums for the retroactive period along with their initial three-month payment. For instance, if they purchase coverage on May 1, 2011, back to January 1, 2011, their initial payment must cover January through July 2011.
