    Tyndall Air Force Base earned the Outstanding Federal Planning award from the American Planning Association for the second consecutive year on May 12. This award is given for outstanding federal planning, leadership and innovative solutions by the APA, a professional organization representing the field of urban and regional planning in the United States.
  • Air Force, Navy units provide joint command and control for the high-end fight

    A joint team of Air Force and Navy command and control units exercised advanced joint command and control during two air dominance events at Tyndall Air Force Base recently. Throughout the month of May, Tyndall hosted two simultaneous large force exercises preparing the Joint Force for operations in a highly contested environment—Checkered Flag 21-2, Air Combat Command’s largest air dominance exercise, and Combat Archer, the Air Force’s Weapon System Evaluation Program for air-to-air live-fire evaluations.
  • Support leads to success for F-22 students in Key West

    More than 250 personnel assigned to the 325th Fighter Wing packed up and went on temporary duty to Naval Air Station Key West, Florida, from July 10 - 24. They travelled in support of the 43d Fighter Squadron’s F-22 Formal Training Unit capstone. Units from Tyndall Air Force Base and Eglin AFB were present to ensure F-22 Raptor student pilots, who flew in 54 sorties for the dissimilar air combat training over the southern Gulf of Mexico, were met with success.
