The 325th Security Forces Squadron community police recently teamed with a local Balfour Beatty contracted landscaping company and painting company to give their facility a complimentary facelift.

The month long construction began March 15 and is slated to be completed April 15.

"This illustrates a partnership between the community police and Balfour Beatty Communities," said Teri Henry, Balfour Beatty Communities housing property manager.
Southeastern Landscaping and Chris Cullen Painting volunteered their time, effort and equipment at no charge.

"The remodeling consists of pressure washing of the outside of the building, a fresh coat of paint and the laying of sod," said Cpl. Juan Diaz, 325th Security Forces community police liaison. "Also, the sprinkler system will be repaired. It's basically a facelift to the building to make the community police office look more inviting."

The purpose of the improvements is to give the community police station a more user friendly look, Diaz added.

"Our job here is to be the everyday police officers people have a relationship with," said Diaz. "We are somewhat of a liaison between the law enforcement desk and the community. We have an open door policy at this office and we want the community to take pride in how the local police building looks."
