Military Equal Opportunity/ Equal Employment Opportunity

Each individual must be able to work in an environment free of discrimination. It is the policy of the government of the United States, the Air Force and Tyndall Air Force Base, to provide equal opportunity in employment for all persons, to prohibit discrimination in employment because of age, color, disability (mental or physical), national origin, race, religion, sex and to promote the full realization of equal employment through a continuing affirmative program in each agency.

Tyndall's leadership continues to ensure that no person shall be subject to retaliation for opposing any practice made unlawful by Title VII of the Civil Rights Age, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act or the Rehabilitation Act.

The 325th Fighter Wing Equal Opportunity offices are strongly committed to supporting the Air Force policy on sexual harassment and discrimination at Tyndall.

The Equal Employment Opportunity office facilitates the federal complaint process provides alternative dispute resolution as a means of resolving complaints. Tyndall provides EEO for all covered civilians, and prohibits discrimination as described under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and as amended.

The Military Equal Opportunity office clarifies complaints for active duty military members, their families and retirees. In addition, they provide mediation services and offer a variety of classes in human relations education. MEO conducts Unit Climate Assessments within each organization, solicits project officers for DoD-sanctioned observances and assists commanders with their equal opportunity programs.

Everyone must be proactive in preventing discrimination. You don't have to be the focus of sexual harassment or discrimination to speak out against it. Take the lead in ensuring equal treatment for all people regardless of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, age or disability.
