Congratulations on your assignment to Tyndall Air Force Base! This page will provide you with all the resources and information you need in order for you to have a smooth and successful move.

The installation is located in Bay County on the Gulf of Mexico in the Florida Panhandle, 12 miles east of Panama City. The Panama City area, best known for its sugar-white sand and emerald green waters, is a popular tourist destination.

The host unit, the 325th Fighter Wing, develops resourceful and resilient Airmen trained to project unrivaled combat air power on behalf of the United States of America. The wing trains and prepares F-22 Raptor pilots, intelligence officers, and maintainers for assignment to combat Air Force units.

In 2018, the base sustained a direct hit from Hurricane Michael. Construction is now underway to rebuild the base and shape it into the Air Force’s first 21st Century “Installation of the Future.” Great things are happening here as Tyndall plans to welcome F-35 Lightning II aircraft beginning September 2023.

PCS In-Processing briefings will be held at 0900 every Tuesday. This will become effective beginning 13 April. The location for the briefs are the Finance Office bldg. 647 (325 FW building), in the CPTS conference room. See the map below for directions to the new finance location.

To submit an inquiry to Finance, visit our new Comptroller Services Portal (CSP) at https://usaf.dps.mil/teams/saffmCSP/portal/. It is PII protected and safe to submit Financial documents through this site.
