Mission
The Vehicle Management Flight provides cradle to grave management of assigned vehicle fleets for the entire 325 Fighter Wing, including inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and vehicular equipment; vehicle body maintenance, repair, and refinishing; vehicle maintenance and fleet management analysis; and related functions.
The Fuels Management Flight provides superior fuel support to the 325th FW. Forty-one men and women provide petroleum products to 54 assigned F-22s, 22 F-4s/QF-4s, 16 T-38s, 7 MU-2s, 2 E-9s aircraft, 641 wing vehicles and 100 organizational tanks and generators. The fuels flight supports this mission with four storage tanks of Jet-A fuel to support the flying activities. The fuel is delivered by twenty-four state-of-the-art R-11 refuelers that contain 6000 gallons of Jet-A. The Tyndall fuels team is a cohesive group of military and contractors that provides outstanding logistics support to the Department of Defense and Joint Force commanders. The Tyndall fuels team is the best and is ready to meet any challenge anywhere.
The Materiel Management Flight manages the wing's $126 million primary operating stock warehouse. The flight stocks, stores, issues, and receives 27,309 line items of supplies and equipment. The flight consists of three sections: Customer Support, Maintenance Support and Asset Management. Customer Support sections consist of two elements, Customer Support Liaison office and Equipment Accountability office. The section second is Maintenance Support which contains the Flight Service Center (FSC). The third section Asset Management sections consists of Central Storage, Aircraft Part Store (APS), Hazardous Material (HAZMART), Individual Equipment Element (IEE), Inspection, Inventory, and Individual Protective Equipment.
The Deployment and Distribution Flight is comprised of four different elements:
The Vehicle Operations element performs the Air Force organic ground transportation capability for passengers and cargo using a multitude of vehicles in direct support of mission requirements. This includes operating light and heavy-duty vehicles such as buses, truck and semi-trailer combinations, forklifts and wrecker/recovery vehicles. They perform motor vehicle preventative maintenance checks and services and plan, organize and direct vehicle transportation to support operational missions.
The Logistics Plans element performs and monitors logistics planning activities to include adaptive planning, base support and expeditionary site planning, War Reserve materiel (WRM) processes, deployment/redeployment/reception processes, support agreements and Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreements (ACSA) processes and LOG C2 functions.
The Air Transportation element performs and manages air transportation activities. Plans, schedules and processes eligible passengers and cargo for air movement. Loads and unloads passengers, cargo, and baggage moved on military and commercial-contract aircraft. Prepares and maintains air movement records and reports. Performs aircraft cleaning services and delivers meals and comfort item supplies to aircraft. Operates forklifts and aircraft loading equipment. Uses computer systems to provide in-transit visibility over passenger and cargo movement operations.
The Traffic Management element performs and manages traffic management activities. Uses military and commercial transportation to move personnel, eligible dependents, materiel, and property. Packages, classifies, and arranges personal property and cargo for shipment or storage.
