Colonel M. SCOTT STANFORD

Col. M. Scott Stanford is the commander, 325th Mission Support Group, 325th Fighter Wing, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. He is responsible for leading 1,500 personnel in providing dominant mission support and combat-ready Airmen to Team Tyndall and worldwide expeditionary forces. Comprised of six squadrons, the group is responsible for civil engineering, security, communications, manpower, personnel, services, contracting, supply, fuels, logistics, and transportation support for 23,000 Airmen, civilians, contractors, and families. In addition to the 325th Fighter Wing, the group supports 19 tenant units from multiple Major Commands and across several military mission sets. These supported mission partners include First Air Force (Air Forces Northern), 601st  Air Operations Center, 53d Weapons Evaluation Group, Air Force Civil Engineer Center, 337th Air Control Squadron and Silver Flag.

 

Colonel Stanford is an AFROTC graduate of Clemson University where he was commissioned in December 1999. His career includes assignments in base level civil engineering, RED HORSE, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), academic instructor, and squadron commander. He has deployed to the Horn of Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan twice, and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to his current position, Colonel Stanford served as Director, Readiness Directorate, Air Force Civil Engineer Center at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.
