Staff Judge Advocate

The office of the staff judge advocate provides full-spectrum legal services that support the entire Tyndall community and its mission. Primarily, this involves assisting commanders, first sergeants, and supervisors in fostering morale, good order and discipline throughout the wing. The legal office also provides other decision-makers at all levels with advice and recommendation needed to best evaluate options and properly resolve complex issues.

In addition to communicating legal information through authoritative counsel, the legal office provides valuable and responsive programs such as legal and income tax assistance, claims, notary service, will preparation, and legal training on a variety of subjects. These programs help Team Tyndall members and their families resolve legal problems so they can focus on their responsibilities and the mission.

Attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members are available to provide personal advice and assistance to military personnel, active duty and retired, and their dependents. Legal assistance includes advice on domestic relations, adoption, real property, leases, taxation, creditor's rights, estates, powers of attorney, bills of sale and numerous other matters of a personal civil legal nature. You may receive legal assistance by scheduling an appointment.  Currently the Legal Office offers legal assistance appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1400 and 1500.  Some legal services requested are beyond the scope of the legal assistance program.  If this is the case, our staff will provide you contact information to the Florida Attorney Referral Service.
