The 325th Force Support Squadron and Tyndall Education Office are hosting the free annual Tyndall AFB Summer Education Fair slated for June 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Horizons Community Center.

The education fair is open to any Department of Defense ID cardholder or anyone who has base access and offers free food and refreshments to all attendees.

“Everyone is welcome to attend,” said Hannah Kaplan, 325th Force Support Squadron Force Development Center chief of education and training. “This is a chance for Airmen and Team Tyndall to be reminded of what resources are available to them and to receive additional information about various institutions and degree programs that are accessible to them.”

The education fair will feature more than 40 colleges and universities. This includes representatives from the Community College of the Air Force, Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), and the Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) program.

Other well-known institutions will also be attending such as Florida State University and the University of Alabama.

All schools attending are approved for tuition assistance usage, Kaplan added.

“This event does not only benefit military members, but also their families, retirees, and civilians who have base access,” said Kaplan. “Panama City is limited in terms of higher education, this fair will help members of the Tyndall Community to broaden their horizons.”
