TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Air Force announced the Cyber Squadron Initiative in May 2017. Following suit, the 325th Communications Squadron launched its own pathfinder unit in late 2017 and is now the first operational Mission Defense Team in the Air Force.
