Tyndall upgrades to HURCON 1 status

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --
As a result of Hurricane Michael, Tyndall Air Force Base officials have moved to HURCON 1. This means the hurricane is a potential threat to Tyndall with destructive winds anticipated within 12 hours. 

Tyndall personnel and their family members should take the following steps: 
1. Ensure you have completed all steps/precautions listed for HURCON 2, 3 and 4.
2. If going to a shelter, don't forget evacuation/shelter kit.
3. Remain in shelter until released by proper officials.

The Tyndall Medical Clinic is closed. In the event of an emergency, please seek medical care from the closest emergency room.
