Tyndall Air Force Base Oct. 12, 2018, 1700 update: Support arriving for Tyndall

Assistance and support are pouring in for Tyndall from its brothers and sisters in the Air Force and other services.

 

Recovery teams began arriving as soon as it was safe to do so. The response has been swift and crucial to Tyndall’s recovery efforts.

 

Combat communications have augmented communication capabilities. Combat controllers are helping return the airfield to full operability.

 

The 822nd Base Defense Squadron from the 820th Base Defense Group at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. in conjunction with the 325th Security Forces Squadron is protecting Tyndall, its people and its assets. The Contingency Response Group and the 823rd Red Horse squadron are both on Tyndall starting the heavy lifting for recovery efforts.
