Festivals and fireworks for the Fourth

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --  Independence Day is almost here, and there are several areas around Tyndall where Airmen can celebrate with friends and families.


City of Lynn Haven - Festival begins at 7 a.m. consisting of various events and contests. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m.

Historic Grand Lagoon - Fireworks are scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

Mexico Beach - Registration for a 5k at Under the Palms Park on 7th Street is at 6 a.m. with the walk/run starting at 7 a.m. The Kid's Fishing Tournament is from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Canal Park. Fireworks are scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

Panama City Marina - Centennial Big Splash begins at 11 am with live entertainment throughout the day. There is also a block party on Harrison Avenue. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m.

Pier Park - Festival begins at 12 p.m. with free live concerts and various fun contests throughout the day. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m.
