The 325th Security Forces Squadron military working dog section presented Tyndall Elementary School second-grader Jesse Wolf with an award April 26 at Tyndall Elementary School. Jesse designed the winning T-shirt that will be given away at the 325th SFS Kennel during their demos.

Members of the 325th SFS presented Jesse with a framed shirt with his design on it during Tyndall Elementary School's morning broadcast service, WTES.

From inception to conclusion, Master Sgt. Michael Mellen, 325th SFS MWD kennel master, was there every step of the way bringing together the 325th SFS with Tyndall Elementary School's principal, Mrs. Susan Ross, and art teacher, Mrs. Magda Bernard. He said there the coordination was as seamless as possible.

"I love our base. I love our community. I just wanted to bring us all together. That's what brought this T-shirt contest about," said Sergeant Mellen.

When the 325th SFS received submissions, the entire MWD section was the board to pick the best design. They narrowed it down to 10 entries, and in the end, Jesse's design took the prize, Sergeant Mellen said.

Mrs. Ross ensured Tyndall Elementary facilitated the contest and actively kept the children involved and excited about it.

"As always, I'm just so proud of the support, and the coordination we have with the base and the opportunities that they afford to our students. It is a wonderful collaboration," Mrs. Ross said.
