Tyndall officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Raptor Quick-Turn Flight Kitchen April 30.

"The facility is three times bigger. There is about $40,000 of brand new equipment, which will make our operation easier and more efficient in many ways," said 2nd Lt. Maxfield Shea, 325th Force Support Squadron food service officer. "The extra space for cooking and preparing food will help the staff meet an increased volume of customers. There is also indoor seating now, even though food is still "to-go."

The kitchen provides high quality "meals-on-the-go" for maintenance, pilots, operational personnel and support staff. The increased size will facilitate the additional Airmen that will arrive with the new combat coded squadron.
