Tyndall Tech. Sgt. Ronald Brooks, 325th Maintenance Operations Squadron, NCO in charge of Maintenance Data Systems Analysis earned the Air Combat Command Analysis Maintenance Manager of the Year award in the NCO category during the 2012 Maintenance and Staff Professionals of the Year banquet in Hangar 1 March 15.

The Duluth, Minn., native said he is honored to receive the award. The award recognizes exceptional performers in maintenance management.

"I feel very honored to receive this award," he said.

Sergeant Brooks has been in the Air Force for 15 years and has worked in the maintenance career field throughout his career. His favorite parts about his job are investigating and fixing problems with aircraft and training new Airmen.

The MPOY banquet recognizes the achievements of the maintenance group and honors maintenance professionals each year.

"It's a great award and shows his dedication through the year and the hard work he put into his on-duty and off-duty performance as well," said Master Sgt. Herby Black, 325th MOS maintenance operations flight superintendent.

The original maintenance professional award was established in 1979 to recognize outstanding performance of direct, sortie-producing maintenance specialists. Support, training and staff personnel make vital contributions to effective sortie production. Tyndall recognizes these important professionals in their diversified career fields.
