TRICARE pharmacy copay increase Published Jan. 25, 2013 TRICARE TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Sometime in February, prescription copays will increase (date is pending). Congress passed the increases into law (NDAA FY13) and annual increases will occur based on retiree cost-of-living adjustments (COLA). There may be some years where there are no increases. For years where an increase would be less than a dollar, increases will be delayed and combined with the following year's adjustment. Information about the increase appears in the "Breaking News" box of pharmacy Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) sent as of Jan. 11, 2013 to beneficiaries. A sample "Pharmacy Copay Increase EOB," is available in the Source Documents tab of the Customer Service Community website. FAQs are available at www.tricare.mil/faqs/, keyword search: "pharmacy," "copays" or "pharmacy copays."
