The Air Force's premier entertainment unit will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Marina Civic Center, with free tickets available starting Jan. 17.

"Every show is a new opportunity to give back to the area we are in," said Airman 1st Class Alexander Allred, Tops in Blue piano player. "Seeing the crowd react is my favorite part. It is going to be pretty exciting."

Tops in Blue, first organized in the 1950s, consists of an all-active duty U.S. Air Force special unit made up of talented amateur performers selected for their entertainment abilities, according to the group's website. The entire ensemble is made up of 35 to 40 vocalists, musicians, dancers and technicians and performs a variety of different music styles from the oldies to today's top hits.

"Tickets are available free on a first-come, first-serve basis," said Wendy Poppell, Horizons Community Center manager.

The tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Jan. 17 with a limit of four per Defense Department identification card holder. Persons without a military ID card can pick tickets up at the Marina Civic Center in downtown Panama City, Fla. at the same day and time.

"I've yet to see a bad show," Ms. Poppell said.
