The Air Force recruiting office, located on 340 West 23rd St., is currently experiencing a manning shortage and will not have a permanent recruiter until January 2013.

In the meantime, two recruiters are scheduled to rotate in from out of town, twice a week.

On Tuesdays, the office will be manned by Tech. Sgt. Richard Nielsen, from Dothan, Ala., who can be reached at (334) 794-8487. On Wednesdays, the office will be manned by Master Sgt. Matthew Long, from Crestview, Fla., who can be reached at (850) 306-1738.

Both recruiters will be available, on their designated days, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

However, be advised, the sergeants are booked until December. High school seniors and anyone else seeking an appointment will not be seen until after Dec. 1.
