Base Newcomers' Page Website Published Oct. 24, 2012 By Staff Sgt. Rachelle Elsea 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Team Tyndall recently added a Newcomers' Page to the base Website, to give incoming personnel and their family members fast access to helpful information and ensure a smooth transition to the base and local community. "A permanent change of station can be hectic and overwhelming," said Brig. Gen. John McMullen, 325th Fighter Wing commander. "Hopefully, by condensing important information to one location, we can help make the move a lot less stressful." The page features a wide variety of useful phone numbers and links to on-and-off base organizations. Some categories include, but are not limited to, housing, education, food and dining, leisure and recreation, motor vehicle registration and tourism information. "We made an effort to try and showcase what we think Airman and their families need during a PCS via this page," said Chief Master Sgt. Raymond DeVite, 325th FW command chief. "We also realize that different people have different requirements, so we are always looking to make improvements." Although the page is available for viewing, suggestions for improvements are still appreciated and accepted. To submit a request, an e-mail can be sent to editor@tyndall.af.mil.
