Brig. Gen. (Dr.) Daniel O. Wyman, Air Combat Command Surgeon, Langley Air Force Base, Va., toured the 325th Medical Group and welcomed the medical personnel to ACC during an all-call, Oct. 16.

General Wyman visited as part of a re-familiarization tour since Tyndall's reassignment to ACC. As the command surgeon, he organizes, trains, equips and maintains combat-ready medical forces for rapid deployment and employment in support of Combatant Commands.

During his all-call, the general briefed Tyndall's medical personnel on the importance of Safety, Standards, and Service.

"We have a duty, an obligation to know our roles and responsibilities," said General Wyman, a former 325th MDG commander [June 2002]. "We have to function as a team and we rely on communication to provide safe and effective healthcare.

"When we adhere to standards, and ensure safety in everything that we do, we successfully provide support for the Air Force platforms that protect this country."

The general also expressed that there shouldn't be many changes at the 325th MDG now that Tyndall has been reassigned under ACC.

"The mission will continue as is, and that is to support the wing's mission and the populous at Tyndall," added General Wyman.

"You have a fantastic medical group and I expect great things to continue. It's been great to be back here and welcome you to ACC."

During his visit to the 325th MDG facilities, the general took the time to acknowledge a few medical staff that exemplified "professionalism". He and Chief Master Sgt. Bionca Lindsey, ACC Command Surgeon Chief Medical Enlisted Force, presented them with ACC/SG "Real Pro" medallions.

"It was a great opportunity to demonstrate to General Wyman and Chief Lindsey the outstanding work our Airmen do here and the level of care we provide to our patients and community," said Col. Paul Skala, 325th MDG commander. "I'm proud of how our entire Airmen team represented the 325th MDG and we'll continue to strive to deliver best of class patient-centered care and enhanced customer service for our Team Tyndall family."
