The Tyndall Tigers men's varsity basketball team returned to the hardwood after a one-year hiatus, as they travelled to Warner Robins Air Force Base, Ga., this past weekend to challenge the bases's Hawks in the Southeastern Military Athletic Conference, regular season action.

In the second half, the game swung back and forth when the Tigers went ice cold from the field. With two minutes remaining in the contest the score was tied 60-60, but Robins out scored Tyndall 9-3 (connecting on 4 out of 5 free throws), to take the hard fought victory.

The final score was Robins-69, Tyndall-63.

Tysen Pina led the Tigers in scoring with 22 points, followed by Terrence Raby with 11 points; Dan Cooper led the team in assists with 8; Pina took rebounding honors with 11, and also blocked 5 shots. Kendrick Harris led Robins in scoring with a game high 27 points.

The Tigers will host the Hurlburt Field Commandos at 3:00 p.m Oct. 13. in the Fitness Center.
