The morning sun barely began to peak through the fog on the horizon, as Air Force and Navy service members met at the gulf's waters on Panama City Beach, Fla., March 13 and 14.

The Air Force and Navy service members greeted each other and got ready for an out of the norm Wednesday where they were welcomed by Rusty Pease, Warriors Roadtrip Network founder, chairman of the board, and president.

The WRTN is an organization that engages citizen awareness, involvement, and action in support of creating unique opportunities as a network for veterans to explain their stories to others while they enjoy the natural resources of the outdoors.

Rusty and his organization provided Air Force and Navy service members with an all day deep sea fishing trip off the coast of the Florida's Panama City Beach.

"It is comforting to know there are organizations out there, such as the Warriors Roadtrip Network, that give back to service members, law enforcement, and children with disabilities and of fallen parents," said Staff Sgt. Brittnie Baxter, 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group knowledge operations manager. "Being able to spend the day fishing with fellow service members and exchanging stories of our military experiences took the edge off the typical duty day."

The organization provides outdoor opportunities for men and women of law enforcement, fire departments, government agencies, veterans, Wounded Warriors and children with special needs, as well as children who have lost a parent(s) while serving in the U.S. Military.
