TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT ON ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNITY OUTREACH Published Feb. 23, 2012 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Tyndall Air Force Base is seeking public feedback regarding its environmental program. Members of the public are invited to participate in a survey that will provide the Air Force information on public concerns and preferred ways for base officials to communicate with the public about its cleanup efforts. Information received from the survey will form the foundation of an updated Tyndall Air Force Base Community Involvement Plan, which is a public document required for federal sites undergoing environmental cleanup. Tyndall was placed on the Environmental Protection Agency's National Priorities List for cleanup in 1997. Additional information can be found at the Base and Bay County Libraries. The Community Involvement Plan will identify issues most important to the community and specify the outreach activities that base officials will use to address community concerns and expectations. There are three ways to participate in the community survey: schedule an in-person or phone interview by contacting kristen@smithcollaboration.com or 1-866-277-3615 by March 2, 2012 or complete the online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/tyndall_CIP_survey. In-person and phone interviews will be conducted March 6-7, 2012. Online surveys must be submitted by March 7, 2012.
