Steppin' through the Holidays Published Jan. 23, 2012 By Senior Airman Rachelle Elsea 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Health and Wellness Center recently released the results of the annual Steppin' through the Holidays pedometer challenge. The contestants combined steps totaled more than 25,169,314 steps during the 3-month program, which began in early October. On average more than 11,895 steps were accomplished per day, exceeding the 10,000 daily step goal. Tyndall's five step winners were: Technical Sgt. Roger Hernandez, 702nd Computer Systems Squadron &Systems Support Facility, walked 2,260,624 steps which won him a bosu ball, HAWC bag, mug, electronic jump rope, lunch box and water bottle. Ms. Della Allen, 325th Force Support Squadron, walked 2,061,167 steps which won her a stability ball, HAWC bag, mug, electronic jump rope, lunch box and water bottle. Ms. Jennifer Hicks, 325th Medical Group, 1,744,703 steps which won her a stability ball, HAWC bag, mug, electronic jump rope, lunch box and water bottle. Ms. Debra Skelton, Air Force Northern Command, walked 1,709,686 steps which won her a lunch box, electronic jump rope and water bottle. Ms. Jessica Stine, 325th Mission Support Group, walked 1,570,678 steps whcih won her a small bag with a water bottle and electronic jump rope. Congratulations to the Team Tyndall winners.
