The 325th Fighter Wing commander learned the duties of a 325th Maintenance Operations Squadron Airman Oct. 7, as part of the Airman's Shadow program.

Brigadier Gen. John K. McMullen, 325th FW commander, shadowed Airman 1st Class Cherish Hartzo, 325th MOS production analysis apprentice, while she performed her daily responsibilities.

"The fact that General McMullen took the time out of his day to shadow me was very humbling," said Airman Hartzo. "It really shows that he cares about his Airmen and the work they do. I showed him the step-by-step process of the daily and weekly products."

Airman Hartzo showed the General how to find the trends of the F-22 Raptor and determine what maintenance can be supported.

"Airman Hartzo is an exceptional young Airman who is a highly motivated self starter," said Staff Sgt. Moya Jones, Airman Hartzo's supervisor. "Her exemplary work ethic and professionalism were showcased during the recent Unit Compliance Inspection, directly contributing to the analysis section receiving zero defects, six 'strengths', and an 'Excellent' rating."

The Airman's Shadow program is a 325th FW commander program designed to recognize 325th FW personnel. The program provides an opportunity for the commander to meet with the Airmen and get a first-hand look at what Tyndall Airmen are doing every day.
