The 325th Fighter Wing earned an 'Excellent' rating during the 2011 Air Education and Training Command Compliance Inspection June 6 to 13.

The week-long wing inspection conducted by AETC experts in their respective fields, examined unit programs and processes to ensure compliance with AETC and Air Force policies and procedures. The inspection covers, in detail, the unit's ability to accomplish the mission, and highlights areas that exceed expectations.

"Months of preparation and hard work leading up to this inspection has paid off," said Brig. Gen. James S. Browne, 325th FW commander. "Thousands of items were inspected. An 'Excellent' is certainly something to be proud of."

"It is really difficult to earn an 'Excellent'," General Browne said. "I'm extremely proud of the Checkertails for showing the inspection team a commitment to excellence and how we are 'doing things right' here at Tyndall. Job well done."

More than 100 members of the wing received recognition for outstanding performance during the inspection. Generally, wings Air Force-wide undergo Compliance Inspections every two years. The 325th FW's last inspection was in 2008, in which the wing earned an 'Excellent' rating during the Operational Readiness Inspection.
