The 325th Fighter Wing commander experienced the daily operations of a transmission systems technician Dec. 3, as part of the Commander's Shadow Program.

Brigadier Gen. James Browne, 325th Fighter Wing commander, shadowed Senior Airman Kayla Draves, 325th Communications Squadron radio frequency transmission systems technician, while she conducted her daily duties.

"It's nice to know the commander is interested in how the base operates aside from wing level," said Airman Draves. "While he was here he got some hands-on experience in radio maintenance."

Airman Draves installs, maintains, repairs, modifies and inspects receivers, transmitters, transceivers and high frequency radios.

"She is an absolute professional who is always striving to make the work center and fighter wing mission more successful," said Staff Sgt. Anthony Clouse, Airman Drave's supervisor. "Airman Draves truly epitomized the Air Force core values and stands out amongst her peers."

Airman Draves hails from Ottawa, Ill. and has served more than three years in the Air Force.
