Three 325th Air Control Squadron Airmen were recently named Air Education and Training Command award winners.

Captain Brian Smart, now the 325th Operations Group executive officer, was named Air Battle Manager of the Year.

"It is truly an honor to even be considered for this award," said Captain Smart. "I am thankful for the enlisted personnel who worked long hours to ensure the mission was complete. Without their dedication and steadfast support, I would not have been able to accomplish the ACS mission."

Tech Sgt. Rebekah Villanueva, 325th ACS instructor weapons director, was named the NCO of the Year.

"When I come to work each day, or set goals, I never do it with a plan to win an award," said Sergeant Villanueva. "I take my job seriously. I would say that strong squadron leadership and the outstanding workers in my shop allowed me to stay passionate about what I do, and ultimately allowed me earn this recognition."

Finally, Staff Sgt. Joshua Meyer, 325th ACS pilot simulator certifier, was named Airman of the Year. Sergeant Meyer is currently on temporary duty to Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., through the end of June.

Congratulations to all the winners.
