One hundred forty-six Community College of the Air Force associate degrees were awarded to Tyndall personnel during a commencement ceremony held at the 325th Air Control Squadron auditorium, April 28. Though all graduates were honored, not all were able to attend due to deployments, permanent changes of station, retirements or separations.

During the ceremony, six Pitsenbarger Awards were presented by the Air Force Association to top CCAF graduates who were also continuing to pursue their bachelor's degrees. The award winners were:

Tech. Sgt. Luke McCarthy, Airey NCO Academy
Staff Sgt. Crystal Edwards, 325th Medical Operations Squadron
Staff Sgt. Myranda Hinguanzo, 479th Operations Support Squadron
Senior Airman Lakeisha Dent, 325th Communications Squadron
Senior Airman Hector Vaca Flores, 325th Aerospace Medical Dental Squadron

The CCAF degrees were presented by Col. James Browne, 325th Fighter Wing commander.  Click here for a full listing of students.

The CCAF is the largest accredited community college in the United States. To date, the college has awarded more than 400,000 degrees since its inception in 1972.
