Tyndall Airman receives the Lieutenant General Leo Marquez Award Published March 17, 2010 By Senior Airman Veronica McMahon 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Air Education and Training Command recently announced a Tyndall Airman has received the Lieutenant General Leo Marquez Award in Aircraft Maintenance. Staff Sgt. Nathan Patrick, 43rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit Avionics Specialist, received the prestigious award. "I am honored that I won the award at the AETC level and am going on to compete at the Air Force level," said Sergeant Patrick. The Lieutenant General Leo Marquez Award is presented to maintainers who have demonstrated the highest degree of sustained job performance, job knowledge, job efficiency and results in the categories of aircraft, munitions and missile, and communications-electronics maintenance. According to his award package, Sergeant Patrick is a phenomenal maintainer and leader whose skills earned him Specialist of the Quarter and Top Performer during a TDY. He is also a reliable, multi-talented NCO who stands out among his peers. "I'm excited to compete at the Air Force level," said Sergeant Patrick. "I'm glad my supervision nominated me for this."
