A Florida winter festival

Twenty tons of snow made a real winter day in Florida a reality as more than 1,000 children and adults of all ages enjoyed a day in a winter wonderland Feb. 26 outside the Heritage Club.

It didn't end with snowball fights and snow angels though; bouncy houses, real fires to make s'mores, funnel cakes and a home-cooked-style meal also made the winter feel more realistic.

"I'm so excited to be here," said 12-year old Garrett Claunch. "It reminds me of my old house in Washington."

While the snow fell in one area, children lined up to go sledding down the 'snow hill' and some even made snowmen. Adults also joined in the fun by dodging the snowballs and enjoying the music.

"This was a huge success," said Sarah English, 325th Force Support Squadron Services Marketing. "More than 1,000 people were in attendance and the kids had a great time. It was a great collaboration between the 325th Force Support and local community sponsors."

Many volunteers also helped to make this festival a fun experience for all. To learn more about other 325th FSS events visit www.325FSS.com.
