Chief Master Sgt. Jackie Green Jr. will assume the position as the 325th Fighter Wing's new command chief upon his arrival the first week in April.

"I'm very excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve Airmen at Tyndall," said Chief Green. "I was happy to be selected to come to Tyndall because I knew there were good Airmen there excited about what they were doing and take pride in what they do."

Chief Green has only been to Tyndall AFB for a few days at a time, yet did have the opportunity to work with Tyndall Airmen on a deployment and said it was a great experience.

Chief Green will be leaving his position as the 965th Airborne Air Control Squadron Superintendent at Tinker AFB, Okla., where he advised the squadron commander on the utilization, training and quality of life of over 300 assigned enlisted and officers.

Chief Green's background includes various duties ranging from squadron to group level. His stateside assignments include bases in Georgia and Oklahoma. The chief also served overseas in the United Kingdom and Germany with deployments in support of operation's Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Allied Force, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

The chief will be moving to Tyndall in April. His wife, Karen, along with his daughter Jana, age 16, and son Jackie, age 11, will arrive at Tyndall at the end of the school year. His other daughter, 21-year-old Ashley, will remain in college.

"I'm excited to meet everybody and look forward to serving with them," said Chief Green. "What is really important is that no matter what any Airman is doing they know they are contributing to the Air Force mission."
