Winter wonderland Published Jan. 12, 2010 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- It is time to pull out your mittens and scarves; a snow day is headed for Tyndall Air Force Base. The 325th Force Support Squadron will host it's 1st Winter Carnival from 4 - 8 p.m. Feb. 26 behind the Heritage Club. The event is open to all Team Tyndall members. Participants are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at the Community Activity Center for $5 each; however they are also available the day of the event. Children two years of age and under are free. Those who choose to buy tickets in advance will be entered to win a free ski trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn. The Carnival will feature 20 tons of real snow imported from Jacksonville, Fla., sledding, hot chocolate, a 'smores' dinner and much more.
