The Officer Spouse's Club and the Enlisted Spouse's Club are teaming together for operation 'Cookie Caper,' Dec. 7.

Cookie Caper is a program where cookies are placed in the Airmen's dorm rooms. This is an Air Force-wide program that has been carried out for several years.

"Approximately 410 Airmen live in the dorms," said Cheryl Roberson, wife of 325th Fighter Wing Commander, Brig. Gen. Darryl Roberson. "Unfortunately, not all can go home for Christmas and this may be their first time away from home for the holidays."

Members of OSC and ESC will hold a joint-baking day Dec. 6 at the Berg Liles Dining Facility; however they are accepting donated cookies from 7 to 9 a.m. behind the commissary that same day.

"The commissary has been a huge part of helping with the caper by donating packaging supplies and space to package," said Mrs. Roberson. "They have also contributing by advertising with announcements over the public address and on the register tape."

In addition, the local elementary schools are making homemade cards to accompany the cookies.

"This is our way to show our appreciation and support to the Airman and let them know they are not alone," said Mrs. Roberson. "Their Air Force family is here for them."
