RAPCON Airman demonstrates duties
Airman 1st Class Ashley Margeson, 325th Operations Support Squadron Air Traffic Controller, controls traffic in the south approach control position while Brig. Gen. Darryl Roberson, 325th Fighter Wing commander, listens in Oct. 5 at the Radar Approach Control. Airman Margeson, selected for the Commander’s Shadow Program, controls in excess of 127,000 annual operations in more than 4,500 square miles of airspace at 11 different airfields. She also coordinates aircraft movement with one Air Route Traffic Control Center, five Approach Control and Tower facilities, and three military radar units for the safe and expeditious flow of traffic. “Ashley bleeds Air Force blue and is truly tops amongst her peers,” said Chief Master Sgt.
