The Tyndall Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System is scheduled to be down for hardware upgrades Oct. 1 and 2. During this period, active duty Common Access Cards, dependent, retiree, and contractor identification cards and DEERs information cannot be updated.

"These are routine hardware upgrades," said Tech. Sgt. Rodrick Hills, 325th Force Support Squadron Force Management Operations noncommissioned officer in charge. "This is to better service our customers."

The DEERS system is a computerized roster of people who are eligible for military benefits.

The machines being replaced were beginning to require additional maintenance, said 1st Lt. Vanessa Jessie, 325th FSS Military Personal Flight chief. The new machines will help minimize complications with ID and CAC card processing.

During the timeframe the upgrades are being made, individuals can contact the Panama City Naval Station for assistance at (850) 235-5525. For any further questions, contact Sergeant Hills at (850)283-2276.
