The United States Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team will perform at Tyndall's Flag Park Aug. 20 at 1 and 4 p.m. and at the Panama City Mall Aug. 21 at 2 and 5 p.m.

A standard 16-person performance features a professionally choreographed sequence of show-stopping weapon maneuvers, precise tosses, complex weapon exchanges, and a walk through the gauntlet of spinning weapons.

The drill team also provides an incredible four-person performance centered on a stationary drill commander, flanked by four team members who simultaneously hurl their 11-pound weapons over and around the commander -- performing a sequence of events unmatched by any other professional military drill team, according to the Air Force Honor Guard website.

"We are very excited to showcase the USAF Honor Guard, to let the community see the precision that our Airmen have to offer," said Tech Sgt. Jeff Pabalan, NCO in-charge of Tyndall's Honor Guard. "These performances also offer young adults a chance to think about a career in the United States Air Force."

The Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team is the traveling component of the Air Force Honor Guard and inspires Air Force awareness among military and civilian audiences through its complex drill routine. In all they do, the Drill Team personifies the integrity, discipline, teamwork, and professionalism of every Airman and every Air Force mission.

During the Air Force Honor Guard's 60-year history, the drill team has performed in every state of the union and many countries abroad, according to its website.
