Airman Fiesta Published July 16, 2009 By Airman 1st Rachelle Elsea 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Tyndall Active Airmen Association is scheduled to host the annual Airman party Aug. 1 at Heritage Park from 2 to 8 p.m. "This year's theme is an Airmen's fiesta. All Airmen, E-1 through E-4 are welcome to attend," said Airman Joseph A. Mojica, 325th Aeromedical-Dental Squadron public health technician also the TAAA Secretary. From 2 to 4 p.m. the festivities will be designated for Airmen and their families, with plenty of entertainment to keep the little ones occupied including a piñata and water balloon toss. The children will also receive a complimentary lunch. Then, from 4-8 p.m. the party will be geared more toward the Airmen with music, food, and adult beverages. There will also be games for the Airmen such as limbo and a water slide, said Airman 1st Class Laura V. Lopez-Gardea, 325th Aeromedical-Dental Squadron dental assistant, who also the TAAA president. "The point of this party is to say thank you to the Airmen for everything they do," said Airman Lopez-Gardea. This will be the third year TAAA has hosted the party. "Last year the party had a luau theme and about 100 people attended," said Airman Lopez-Gardea Airman Mojica said if Airmen are interested in joining TAAA, they meet the first Thursday of every month, 3:30 P.M. at the community activity center. "TAAA is about being able to do our job and still contribute and be part of something," said Airman Lopez-Gardea.
