TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --  It's July 4th weekend, the sun is high in the sky and the water is warm. What better way to spend Independence Day then enjoying the festivities? 

Tyndall AFB is scheduled to host a 4Th of July Freedom Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an array of free music, food and activities. 

· Community Center - free movies and popcorn. 

· Bonita Bay Pool - free swimming, bouncy castles, food and music. 

· Raptor Lanes Bowling Center - free bowling, hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks 

· Bonita Bay Outdoor Recreation - free boat rides, canoes and kayaks 

· Pelican Point Golf Course - free range balls and free carts to E1-E4 

· Marina Club - Luau with pig roast at 2 p.m. 

For those hoping to spend time off base, Panama City is hosting several firework displays. 

The Aaron Bessant Park fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m. after the Mark Chesnut concert at 7:30 p.m. The performances include the Lynn Haven Fourth, Seaside Fourth and Star-Spangled Spectacular. 

Fireworks will be launched from a platform at the center of Grand lagoon beginning at 8:30 p.m. 

Fireworks for the salute to Freedom and Centennial Big Splash will begin at 9 p.m. at the Panama City Marina. 

July 4th is a celebration of our nation's independence. Celebrate with safety, pride and excitement.
